INDOOR PLANT - Peperomia San Marino in 11, 13 and 17cm Pot Sizes
Peperomia's...all 1000 plus species are super charming plants that make excellent indoor houseplants due to their hardiness and versatility. These tropical plants are native to Mexico, South America, and the West Indies. With so many varieties of Peperomia it's hard to know what belongs to what family but usually they all have thick fleshy leaves and clusters of stemmed like conical flowers that are present several times a year.
At Arizona Living we try to always have a few species of Peperomia available to buy as they are such a great plant to recommend for a novice plant parent, perfect for gifts and great for that lonely spot on a bench or bookshelf that you are wanting to fill.
The San Marino is an attractive, 'moodier' Peperomia - it features grey green leaves with green veins on the upper surfaces along with red stems.
Prefers well lit areas for growth and to maintain their glossy foliage. Bright light is required for flowering.
Allow the top of the soil to dry out before re-watering. As a guide this might be a full wetting of all the soil every week during the growing season and much less during winter.
WE RECOMMEND PLANTING IN...
When choosing a pot for this Peperomia increase your pot size by 3-7cm to allow extra room for the plant to grow and to avoid frequent re-potting.
If choosing the functional and stylish Mr Kitly Self-Watering pots for your new Peperomia (and lets face it why wouldn't you...they are every plant owners dream pot for being so easy to use) we would recommend the following sizes for these San Marino plants. For the 11 and 13cm plant choose a 17cm Mr Kitly. For the 17cm plant choose the slightly larger 21.5cm Mr Kitly. For styling purposes this Peperomia has been photographed in a small sized Fergus planter in 'Sky'.
** Please note all of our plants are hand selected for their quality and health. The Peperomia you receive may not be the exact one pictured but it will be of equal quality - we promise!
