OUTDOOR / INDOOR PLANT - Parodia Magnifica Cactus
‘Balloon Cactus’, is native to South America, in the areas of southern Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay and Argentina. It is a spherical cactus, green in colour, with yellow and golden coloured spines. When the rounded ball cactus is young its stem is green and it slowly gains a blue hue as it ages. This cactus usually grows in clusters and can grown to about 15cm in diameter over time. They produce lovely light yellow flowers during the spring and summer months.
Measuring approx 30cm from the base of the pot featuring multiple (too many to count!) areas of growth around it's base.
LIGHT
Ideally an outdoor plant, if you want it indoors it will love you for the brightest sunniest spot in your home.
WATER
Cactus need to dry out completely before they are re-watered. In order for this to occur, and to prevent rotting of your cactus, it needs to be in a pot that is able to drain excess water.
WE RECOMMEND PLANTING IN...
Look for a pot 3-5 cm larger in diameter that has a drainage hole. A medium sized Finch pot or medium sized Bower pot would be ideal pot choices for this stunning plant!
