INDOOR PLANT - Tillandsia Usneoides - Old Man's Beard
Old Mans Beard (or Spanish Moss) is the simplest plant to grow and is part of the Bromeliad family of plants, native to the Americas. In nature Old Man's Beard grows on the branches of trees and shrubs. With no roots Old Mans Beard has to absorb all its moisture and food through its leaves.
LIGHT
As a general rule, keep your Old Mans Beard out of direct sunlight. Remember, in the wild it is growing up in the sheltered, shady canopy of trees. They will do best if you can put them in a brightly lit spot out of the sun's rays.
WATER
In your home, these plants will want misting or soaking every 1-2 weeks during summer, much less often in winter. Keep an eye on them to determine when your plants seems to need a drink.
