INDOOR PLANT - Devils Ivy - Marble Queen - in 20cm pot on Totem
The Marble Queen Pothos ( Epipremnum aureum) is the stunning green & white variegated 'cousin' of the ever popular fabulous Devils Ivy.
They can be trained to be grown up using their aerial roots to cling onto coir totems or stakes. They can hang low from a shelf or bookcase and easily grow several meters a year. They can also be used to climb across a wall using clear plastic plant hooks.
This gorgeous Marble Queen Ivy has been trained to grow up a Coir Totem with a height of 560mm from the ground.
LIGHT
The Marble Queen is a super tough plant, which will thrive in a brightly lit spot indoors that is protected from direct sunlight, however they’re also tolerant of more dimly lit areas. They’ll also do well in humid areas like bathrooms and kitchens. In nature they would be on the bottom of a forest floor, latching themselves onto tree trunks and climbing, so they are used to dabbled sunlight and periods without light. The less regular light they receive the darker the leaf is likely to become.
WATER
Allow the top of the soil to dry out before re-watering. A full wetting of all the soil every 2-3 weeks during the growing season (less in winter) is best to ensure all the roots can access moisture.
WE RECOMMENDING PLANTING IN...
The Marble Queen will do best when they are a little pot bound. Too much soil and they tend to flounder a little and become 'leggy'. Choose a pot that is equal to a few centimetres bigger than its current size so for this plant a pot around 20 - 25cm would be ideal. The 25cm Mr Kitly pot would be a perfect choice. Or if you prefer a non-plastic aesthetic this Marble Queen would love stunning in a large sized Bower pot.
