INDOOR PLANT - Lipstick Plant (Aeschynanthus Radicans) in 13cm pot
When covered in its elaborate display of its scarlet tubular flowers, it’s easy to see why Aeschynanthus Radicans gets its common name Lipstick Plant!
The Lipstick Plant is native to the tropical and humid rainforests of Java north to the Malay Peninsula where the long, trailing vines grow and scramble along trees.
A delightful plant that looks stunning spilling from a hanging basket or trailing from a bookshelf or table top.
Prefers well lit areas - when given adequate light, you can enjoy the colourful blooms periodically throughout the entire year.
Allow the top of the soil to dry out before re-watering. As a guide this might be a full wetting of all the soil every 2 weeks during the growing season and much less during winter.
WE RECOMMENDED PLANTING IN ...
If using as a plant to spill from a hanging basket let us recommend sitting it in a small sized Nest hanging planter (pictured). If you plant to sit your Lipstick Plant on a shelf you will need a planter that is 3-5 cm larger than what it is currently potted in. The elongated form of a small Finch pot would make for a striking combination.
** Please note all of our plants are hand selected for their quality and individual character. The Lipstick Plant you receive may not be the one pictured but it will be of equal quality.
