INDOOR or OUTDOOR PLANT - Kangaroo Paw Fern in 20cm Basket
Microsorum diversifolium, commonly called Kangaroo Paw Fern (for obvious reasons!) is a gorgeous high impact fern native to our shores - oh and from across the ditch!
We love the rich green colour and the unusual shaped leaves and the fact its native to Australia makes it special. It is a relatively fast growing fern and in a happy spot in your home will grow to approximately 30 - 40cm in height and slightly more than that in width.
If you are someone who shy's away from ferns putting them in the "too fussy" box then let us tell you this fern will shatter those preconceptions as it is easy-care, robust and really rewarding.
Ferns live bright filtered light, imagine them growing at the bottom of a forest floor, or as an epiphyte growing on the side of a tree trunk, and try and replicate this at home - dappled light, humid spot and lots of warmth.
Water moderately so that the soil remains damp, not soggy. Water when the surface becomes slightly dry, allowing water to soak through to the roots, then tip out any excess water.
WE RECOMMEND PLANTING IN...
Ferns love the Mr Kitly self-watering pots - a 25cm Mr Kitly would be the best size for this Kangaroo Paw Fern.
If you would like us to pot your fern into your chosen pot, to say you all the messy work, let us know in the 'notes' section at checkout.
