OUTDOOR or INDOOR PLANT - Jade Plant in 14cm Pot
The Jade Plant is a super popular succulent with it's fleshy, oval-shaped leaves and woody stems. This is a trailing Jade plant (Senecio jacobsenii), it is a ground creeper in its native habitat in Tanzania and Kenya. With it's long branches with large oval leaves it looks very graceful cascading down a wall or from a hanging basket in your home.
Jade plants were once thought to bring good luck to their owners, so they were often given as housewarming gifts. In the world of Feng Shui the Jade plant is renowned to promote good luck and to attract wealth.
If planting outside your Jade plant will appreciate full sun with periods of shade. If growing indoors place in a lovely bright and sunny spot.
Allow the top of the soil to dry out before re-watering. A full wetting of all the soil every 2 weeks during the growing season will encourage growth. If outdoors wants well drained soil during winter, whatever rain fall the Jade receives will be adequate.
WE RECOMMEND PLANTING IN...
This Jade plant can be planted directly into the ground amongst well draining soil. We have a range of ceramic or plastic pots - when browsing look for a pot that is 2-5cm larger than the current plastic pot size, ideally a 17cm pot which allow plenty of room for future growth.
* Please note all of our plants are hand selected for their quality and individual character. The Jade basket your receive may not be the exact one pictured but it will be of equal quality.
