OUTOOR PLANT - Hendra Helix
Hendra Helix, or English ivy, is a vigorous woody evergreen vine native to Europe and parts of Russia. When planted outdoors Hendra Helix is used as an ornamental ground-cover or elegant green covering for stone or brick walls or fences. Best suited to cooler climates, it is robust a fast growing, perfect for our Victorian gardens.
Plant in shade or filtered sun with plenty of indirect light. Suited to planting in shaded locations. Happy in almost any soil.
If planting into the ground water regularly until plant becomes established and then only water during prolonged dry periods. If used in a basket water when the top 3-5cm of soil is dry.
WE RECOMMEND PLANTING IN...
For best results plant directly into the ground. Let it spread over the ground, if planted close to a fence or wall it will self-cling and climb up that surface. The Hendra Helix also looks great suspended or climbing from a wall planter. The ECOPOTS range of wall planters would have an option to meet your design aesthetic.
