Native to India this plant the Ficus Audery is such a beautiful plant - those thick mat finished leaves look like tough velvet! In the same family as the ever popular Ficus Elastica but oh so different! Those velvet leaves and thick trunk, which looks almost like a giant bonsai, make the Audrey a real stand out plant that every plant parent needs!
Similar to most ficus trees, the Audery should be placed where it will receive plenty of bright indirect light. It will not want to be placed in a position that receives a lot of direct sunlight and it does not handle low light well either so bright indirect light is the key!
Allow the top of the soil to dry out before re-watering. A full wetting of all the soil every 2-3 weeks during the growing season (less in winter) is best to ensure all the roots can access moisture.
WE RECOMMEND PLANTING IN...
The Ficus Audery is a slow-growing plant and does prefer to be slightly pot-bound so when looking for a pot only increase the size by 2-5cm larger than the current growers pot. For this particular Ficus look for a pot that measures 30 - 35cm diameter.
** Please note all of our pots and plants are sold separately.
** Please also note all of our plants are hand selected for their individual character and quality. The Ficus Audery you receive may not the exact one pictured but it will be of equal quality.
