INDOOR OR OUTDOOR PLANT -  Echinopsis Chamaecereus (Peanut Cactus) - in 19cm Pot

The peanut cactus (Echinopsis chamaecereus) is a branched cactus with finger-like stems that has a clustering and trailing growth habit. This growth habit makes it a great choice for hanging baskets. Each ribbed stem can grow up to 6 inches long and half an inch in diameter and is covered in small white bristles. They display a glorious mass of red flowers when grown in ideal conditions.

The peanut cactus can be grown as a houseplant, but also grows well outdoors in frost-free climates.

LIGHT

Ideally an outdoor plant, if you want it indoors it'll will need a super sunny bright spot. Cactus will not tolerate low light conditions.

WATER

Cactus are a drought tolerant plant so minimal watering is required. As a general rule they are likely to need a small water every 2-3 weeks in summer and every 4-6 weeks in winter. Ensure the soil is fully dry before watering.

WE RECOMMEND PLANTING IN...

Cactus don't need a whole lot of extra soil to be happy. These guys can be re-potted into a similar sized or slightly bigger pot. As these cactus's 'fingers' will fall down a hanging pot would a cool combination. The Cade hanging pot in a large size would be a recommended choice.

If you'd like us to do the dirty, and scratchy!, work for you simply request your cactus to be potted into your chosen pot and we'll take care of the rest!
