INDOOR PLANT - Dischidia sp. hirsuta in 13cm pot
The sweetest of little trailing plants are the Dischidia varieties. They are native plants with textured, spear-shaped leaves. Dischidias are a group of plants closely related to Hoyas, however are faster growing. This plant has darker green, spade-shaped leaves measuring 2cm in diameter, with new foliage emerging in a dark-red colour. It will produce tiny yellow, lantern-shaped flowers. Dischidia look beautiful grown in a statement pot (as there is plenty of opportunity for the pot to be seen) sitting where the delicate strands are able to flow down.
Prefers well lit areas for growth and bright light for flowering. Will also grow outdoors but best conditions are inside.
Allow the top of the soil to dry before re-watering. As a guide this might be a full wetting of all the soil every 2 weeks during the growing season and much less during winter. They don't like to be soggy or boggy, so ensure they have good drainage. Enjoys a spot with high humidity like a bathroom or kitchen.
WE RECOMMENDED PLANTING IN : 17cm Self Watering Pots for good drainage. They will also look beautiful planted into one of the eye catching Medium sized Collectors Gro Pots.
