INDOOR PLANT - Epipremnum Aureum - Snow Queen - 17cm Basket
Epipremnum aureum) is the stunning green & bright white variegated 'cousin' of the ever popular fabulous Devils Ivy. Epipremnum come from the humid forests of the Solomon Islands where they are found under the canopy of trees growing up on plants in search for light.
They can be trained to be grown up using their aerial roots to cling onto coir totems or stakes. They can hang low from a shelf or bookcase and easily grow several meters a year. They can also be used to climb across a wall using clear plastic plant hooks.
This gorgeous Marble Queen Ivy is in a 17cm basket perfect to be re-potted into a decorative pot and placed on your bookshelf ready to cascade and fill your room with that variegated goodness.
The Snow Queen's happy place is in a warm and brightly lite spot. The non-variegated varieties, such as your Devils Ivy, will tolerate lower light conditions however lower light to your variegated epipremnum's may result in a loss of the brightness of the markings - it may revert to all mainly green with a 'dull' cream colour running throughout.
Allow the top of the soil to dry out before re-watering. A full wetting of all the soil every 2-3 weeks during the growing season (less in winter) is best to ensure all the roots can access moisture.
WE RECOMMENDING PLANTING IN...
The Marble Queen will do best when they are a little pot bound. Too much soil and they tend to flounder a little and become 'leggy'. Choose a pot that is equal to a few centimetres bigger than its current size so for this plant a pot around 17 - 20cm would be ideal. A simple easy care option is to re-pot into a 17cm Mr Kitly Self-Watering pot. If a recycled plastic pot is not your aesthetic then it would look lovely planted into either a Tall Birch Pot or hanging from the ceiling in a small Nest pot. For styling purposes we have photographed this Marble Queen in a small sized Basil Pot and elevated it on a Medium Black Lotus Stand.
** Please also note all of our plants are hand selected for their beauty and quality. Your plant may not be the exact one pictured but we promise it will be to the same standard.
