INDOOR PLANT - Peperomia 'Burbella in 12cm Pot
Peperomia's...all 1000 plus species are super charming plants that make excellent indoor houseplants due to their hardiness and versatility. These tropical plants are native to Mexico, South America, and the West Indies. With so many varieties of Peperomia it's hard to know what belongs to what family but usually they all have thick fleshy leaves and clusters of stemmed like conical flowers that are present several times a year.
At Arizona Living we try to always have a few species of Peperomia available to buy as they are such a great plant to recommend for a novice plant parent, perfect for gifts and great for that lonely spot on a bench or bookshelf that you are wanting to fill.
Prefers well lit areas for growth and to maintain their glossy foliage. Bright light is required for flowering.
Allow the top of the soil to dry out before re-watering. As a guide this might be a full wetting of all the soil every week during the growing season and much less during winter.
WE RECOMMEND PLANTING IN...
When choosing a pot for this Peperomia increase the pot size by 3-5cm to allow extra room for the plant to grow and to avoid frequent re-potting. This 15cm Watermelon Peperomia would ideally be re-potted into a 17cm Mr Kitly pot. If looking for a ceramic decorative pot choose one with drainage for good water management - the small Finch pot for example would be a lovely choice.
