Actually we can say a bit more but we think in this plants case photos speak volumes and after looking at the pictures of this beauty you have most likely already added it too your cart!
Peace lilies are tropical species, grown in the ground outdoors only in tropical regions such as Florida or Hawaii. Despite their name, peace lilies are not members of the lily family. The peace lily is a member of the Araceae family of plants, known collectively as aroids.
The bigger cousin to the smaller and more common peace lily, this stunner makes a statement with her big lush green leaves.
They filter more indoor pollutants than most other plants, so are great for bedrooms or other frequented rooms. Inside the tropical plant's pores, toxic gases like carbon monoxide and formaldehyde are broken down and neutralized.
Of all lily varieties the 'Sensation' variety is thought of as the world's best. Famous for its large, dark green ribbed leaves and large white flowers with a yellow spadix. It has a strong, upright habit that grows to one metre. A well cared for peace lily will flower 2 - 3 times a year giving you months of beautiful blooms.
Bright natural light. Peace Lily Sensation's enjoy warm conditions and 'bright shade' meaning bright conditions without direct sunlight.
Allow the top of the soil to dry out before re-watering. A full wetting of all the soil every 2-3 weeks during the growing season (less in winter) is best to ensure all the roots can access moisture.
If you notice that the plant is constantly dry and looking a tad sad or not absorbing any water, try placing it in a deep tray of water and pour room temperature (not cold) water into the top of the pot. Keep the pot in the tray of water overnight to give it a chance to soak up water from the roots. You can use this trick on all plants that have stopped retaining water or always seem thirsty.
During the summer, water and mist peace lilies frequently because they thrive with higher humidity, such as that found in the rainforest. In winter, reduce watering but never allow the soil to dry out.
WE RECOMMEND PLANTING IN...
A giant sized Peace Lily Sensation needs a giant sized pot. A solution for good water management in your home would be a 30cm Mr Kitly
self-watering pot. Alternatively placing the Lily straight into a (growers pot and all) size medium Alfie
pot would be an attractive option.
** Please also note all of our plants are selected for their individual quality. The Peace Lily Sensation you receive may not be the exact one pictured but it will be of equal beauty and quality.
