INDOOR or OUTDOOR PLANT - Ric Rac Cactus 'Weberocereus Imitans'
This stunning hanging cactus is most commonly known as the Fishbone Cactus...for fairly obvious reasons - those fish scale leaves are pretty epic!
Native to Central and South America this hanging cactus will display massive colourful flowers - either orange, red, yellow or white - in nature these impressive flowers would be polinated by bats...how cool!
Because of the nature of the hanging leaves these cactus make great feature plants in a hanging pot or basket.
Light
Choose a spot, either inside or outside, in bright light but avoid placing in direct sunlight as this might discolour and burn the leaves. In nature these plants love attached to trees in dappled light in the forest. If hung inside it is unlikely you will be rewarded with flowers.
Water
Allow the top of the soil to dry out before re-watering. As a guide this might be a full wetting of all the soil every 2 weeks during the growing season and much less during winter.

This Ric-Rac cactus comes grown in a pot that is 20cm in diameter, this planter has a hanger attached which can be used to hang from an overhead hook. If you prefer to remove the plant from the growers pot this plant can be planted directly into a large Angus & Celeste Raw Earth Hanger.
