INDOOR or OUTDOOR PLANT - String of Pearls in a 7cm Hanging Pot
Senecio Rowleyanus, or String of Pearls, is a beautiful, cascading succulent that will add that little quirk to any house.
What's not to love about these adorable trialing succulents! Those juicy pearl shaped leaves, the way it delicately cascades from the pot like your favourite necklace does around your neck, those cute as flowers it grows every spring / summer ... it really is a firm favourite here at Arizona Living.
String of Pearls originate from the deserts if Africa where they are seen as ground covers - they are certainly used to a dry warm climate and are able to store water in those juicy pearls for many weeks at a time.
In Australia they grow the fastest and healthiest in an outdoor bright spot. They are most certainly able to flourish indoors - those strings of pearls will look particular lovely falling from a decorative pot in the pride of place in your home.
If used outdoors choose a spot that receives a good 6 - 8 hours of sunlight a day. Similarly indoors choose a spot that receives plenty of bright light.
Allow the top 2cm of your String of Pearls soil to dry out before re-watering (this might involve you placing your finger those few centimeter's into your soil to check it is dry). As a guide this might be a full wetting of all the soil every 2 weeks during the growing season and very little during winter.
WE RECOMMEND PLANTING IN...
Your String of Pearls is destined to trail and cascade. Choose a spot in your home that will allow for all those pearls to fall from the base of the plant and glisten in that bright love that it'll love.
Place your little String of Pearls into a 9.5cm Cement Pot or a cute sized small Angus & Celeste Collectors Gro-Pot.
** Please note all of our plants are hand selected for their quality and individual characteristics. The String of Pearls you receive may not be the exact one pictured but it will be of equal quality and beauty.
