Peperomia Rotundifolia 'Jade Necklace'

Peperomia's...all 1000 plus species are super charming plants that make excellent indoor houseplants due to their hardiness and versatility.  These tropical plants are native to Mexico, South America, and the West Indies.  With so many varieties of Peperomia it's hard to know what belongs to what family but usually they all have thick fleshy leaves and clusters of stemmed like conical flowers that are present several times a year.

Originating from the Amazon the Peperomia Rotundifolia or Jade Necklace, also commonly called a String of Turtles, is a really sweet cheerful plant. It grows masses of strings of patterned disk-like leaves that once it reaches the edge of the pot will trail downwards. Healthy String of Turtles can densely fill out a pot and reach impressive lengths making this a statement plant to add to your collection. 

When choosing a pot for this Peperomia increase your pot size by 3-7cm to allow extra room for the plant to grow and to avoid frequent re-potting.  If choosing the functional and stylish Mr Kitly Self-Watering pots for your new Peperomia (and lets face it why wouldn't you...they are every plant owners dream pot for being so easy to use) we would recommend the following sizes for these Jade Necklace plants. For the 13 and 15cm plant choose a 17cm Mr Kitly. For the miniature 6 and 9cm plants choose a small Cement pot to place your growers pot directly inside of.
