INDOOR OR OUTDOOR PLANT- Donkey Tails in Various Sized Pots
Another Arizona Living favourite the popular Sedum Burrito, or Donkey's Tail (of course what else could it resemble!) is a popular and easy-to-grow succulent with rows of fleshy, tear-drop shaped leaves.
Native to Mexico, mature specimens grow slow and steady but can reach trailing lengths of over a meter in six years' time. Red flowers can emerge in late summer, although you are unlikely to be rewarded with flowers if it is grown indoors.
Donkey Tails look beautiful cascading from a hanging pot or wall planter outside on a sunny courtyard, or sitting high on an indoor shelf.
Best grown outdoors in a hanging basket in full sun. If grown indoors choose a very bright spot and keep away from anything that might knock into it (dogs, cats and children come to mind!) as their delicate leaves are very easy to knock off.
Donkey Tails are drought tolerant as they store moisture in their fleshy leaves . Allow the soil to totally dry out before re-watering. As a guide this might be a full wetting of all the soil every 2-3 weeks during the growing season and much much less during winter.
WE RECOMMEND PLANTING IN...
Anything with drainage that is a tad bigger or similar size) to what it is currently in. Why don't you try a wall mounted hanging basket, for either indoors or outdoors? Browse out selection of WallyGro here.
** Please note all of our plants are hand selected for their quality and character. The Donkey Tail you receive may not be exact one pictured but it will be of equal quality. Please also note pots and plants sold separately.
Awesome as always !
