West African Bolga Baskets - Natural Design
We are so excited to have the return of a range of ethically sourced and made amazing products from West Africa. These Bolga Baskets are so beautifully made and make the perfect basket for the beach or market trips or to use around the house as storage in your kids rooms, kitchen or bathroom.
Each basket has been individually photographed so the basket that catches your eye, the one you fall in love with, is the one you will receive!
Each basket is made by the people of Bolgatanga, Ghana, and surrounding villages from sundried elephant grass. The majority of the grass is hand-dyed using traditional natural dyes made from plants and minerals as well as non-toxic fabric dyes to achieve contemporary colours. The natural grass is boiled in the dyes in cast iron or aluminium vats before being sundried. They are finished with a traditional strong leather bound handle.

Size - each basket measures approximately 38 - 40cm in diameter and approximately 38 - 44cm from base to top of handle.
