INDOOR PLANT - Bambino Fiddle Leaf Fig in 20cm pot
Lusting over an indoor tree that you've seen grace many Instagram, magazine or TV photoshoots? That glorious shiny leafed tree is bound to be the famous Fiddle Leaf Fig!
This plant is definitely a favoured indoor plant by many a plant enthusiast. Native to the tropics, your Fiddle will thrive in a home or space that best mimics this warm and more humid environment. It features very large, heavily veined and violin-shaped leaves that grow upright on a tall plant. In the great outdoors, a Fiddle can grow up to 40 feet or more. Never fear, keeping them indoors certainly stunts their growth, but you should be prepared for it to grow at least 6 feet tall when complemented with perfect growing conditions. This 'Bambino' varity is a dwarf version so growth upwards and leaf size will bemore compact than its full sized cousin.
Care for a Fiddle Leaf Fig is fairly easy. Choose a bright spot close to a window with plenty of access to filtered sunlight. Ensure it is not placed over or below an air-conditioning or heating duct that variation in moisture and airflow will make them grumpy!
Fiddle Leaf Figs do best if allowed to dry out between waterings and then a nice big soak once dry. The amount you soak will depend on how much light and warmth your plant receives but as a guide out may be somewhere between once every 2 weeks in summer and once every 3 weeks in cooler months.
WE RECOMMENDED PLANTING IN...
When choosing a pot for this 20cm Fiddle ensure you increase the overall diameter by 5-10cm to give this beauty plenty of room to stretch its legs! A 30cm Mr Kitly self watering pot would be a great option. This plant is pictured with a Bornean basket which would be another attractive option. Please note plant and pot/basket sold separately.
If you'd like us to do the dirty work for you simply request your plant to be potted into your chosen pot and we'll take care of the rest!
*Note: The plant shown is an indication of how healthy and fabulous all of our hand selected plants are! Your plant may not be the exact plant pictured but it will be of the same quality.
