A little about the artist...
Amanda's studio is at home on the Surf Coast of Victoria in Australia, where she lives with her husband and two children. Balancing everyday duties of being a Mum and artist, Amanda manages to fit in time on the paintbrush as well as activities with the kids. She has a passion for anything to do with the ocean, enjoying surfing, boating and long beach days with the family.
Amanda's paintings draw upon her background in graphic design, enabling her to see the life-forms as facets of colour and pattern. The accentuated hues are vivid and dramatic, expressing each creature’s distinct characteristics in a creative way with intricate geometric shapes and a bold colour palette.
